Seoul Hongdae Seoul Papa Guesthouse Hotel Review and Experience

During this trip to Korea, I stayed here several times whenever I came to Seoul. This place reminds me of my grandparents’ home. Yes, the house is old and made of wood, but the atmosphere is very warm and cozy. The bedding is clean, and everything necessary for a comfortable stay is provided.

However, I want to mention that there were some guests who behaved inconsiderately and made noise at night (talking, packing their luggage, and blow-drying their hair). I went out and politely asked them to respect the quiet hours after 11 PM, as we are all guests here. After that, they behaved appropriately.

I want to add that in such situations, there is no need to feel shy or angry — it’s important to speak politely and ask others to be considerate. This helps everyone enjoy their stay.

The hostel owner is very communicating and willing to accomodate to special requests, which I greatly appreciate. The rooms are split into female dormitories and mixed dormitories, I stayed at a female dormitory. For me I found it very easy to sleep, it was just a mattress and a mattress pad and yet it was perfect. At night it was very quiet as well. They have all the ammenities that you could need, already stocked and ready to use! Very safe location, convenient, close to a 7/11, and about a 10-15 minute walk to the subway station. Overall, I’d recommend for any solo travellers, its an amazing hostel to stay at. Thank you Seoul Papa Guesthouse!

I traveled to Seoul with my friend and stayed at a great guesthouse! It’s very close to Hongdae. My friend and I are in a private room that is well-equipped, and the kitchen is fantastic! However, we need to bring our own slippers, toothbrushes, and towels. The standalone building is beautiful, and there’s a Golden Retriever named Jerry across the street.
